People in Maine will lose their houses do the high cost of heating oil or propane or kerosene, This climate hoax is just a money grab to fund whatever they want. Efficiency Maine is a hoax too, they never had a plan. |

Action is desperately needed and I would kindly request that NJ formally join the plan to reduce emissions. The policy must have a strong component of equity by prioritizing clean investments in areas overburdened by pollution and/or for those who don't have access. I thoroughly appreciate the bipartisan nature of this project, moving us forward while the federal government takes us backward. |

I'm a 24 year old male. I have a good job and I work full time. With that being said even with my partner paying half of our bills we barely have enough pay our bills and save anything to progress our life beyond renting. I know I'm not alone when it comes to these kinds of financial situations, and I'm one of the lucky ones without student loan debts! The cost of living for us young people is already pushing us from the state. If you want the state to flourish we must take care of the young people who will be responsible for it sooner rather than later. We are the ones who suffer inevitably.. I Make over $40,000 a year and I'm struggling I'm not even close to drowning in debt and my friends of which who have student loans have to actually stay with their parents because they cannot afford their bills and their rent. The last thing we need is a higher taxs on gas. All that does if funnel money to the government and does absolutely nothing for the people. If you want to reduce emission (in one of the lowest populated states??) Propose bills that actually have to do with making a change towards a cleaner alternative. Not just something that will widen the gap from us normal people from middle class to the wealthy.

As I read more books and article on the subject, it appears to me that the issue of transportation is one of the major ones. And I am very glad to see that a bipartisan project is looking into the matter - while our President insist on taking us back, further and further.
New York state should not let this opportunity pass to be leading the charge against pollution. Neither should it leave anyone behind: climate justice is a central nerve of tackling any climate related issue. This policy should therefore have a strong component of equity by prioritizing clean investments in areas overburdened by pollution and/or for those who don't have access. It would not be ethical to ignore some parts of the population, the poorest ones who are the least heard of and yet, the most impacted by pollution.
Let's have the courage to look towards a brighter future, one where we and our kids can breath clean air and leave in peace, certain that no climate disaster is at bay. |

Deliberate, effective and immediate actions are needed by Federal, State an local bodies to reduce pollution from all means of transportation. Some of the steps to be taken/continued include demanding increased miles per gallon for automobiles and trucks, trending towards electric vehicles as well as increased research and implementation for employing alternative energy approaches for transportation plus expanding public transportation (e.g. high speed trains). |

Our rent is easily at least 900 a month one bedroom and most of the time thats not including any utilities. Unlike a good amount of states we HAVE to have heat in the winter which we HAVE to pay for. We HAVE to have inspection stickers unlike a good amount of states, we need to take care of insurances, groceries, etc. And now you want us to pay more for gas too? We already have to pay so much just to lay our heads on a pillow at night, most of us over here have way overdue bills or no food but let's just raise the gas prices right???? We are already financially struggling enough over here. I am totally on board with changing stuff and helping our planet it is our only one, but dont punish people who already can barely get by. |

Electric rail using renewable energy sources would be the way to go.We have to reduce our carbon footprint now and transition to cleaner more sustainable alternatives because if we fail to act now, we will destroy our economy and our planet. Natural gas is not a clean alternative. It leaks methane in every phase and is significantly accelerating green house gas emissions |

I'm a student, and increasingly growing frustrated with government inaction or moderation. The TCI is the first step, and it needs both complimentary legislation and language that will support low income residents who may be affected by the TCI. Attached is a joint letter by orgs in Vermont that demonstrate the urgency of this bill.
