May 15, 2020 -- In light of the unprecedented need for governors and agencies to respond to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Transportation and Climate Initiative jurisdictions have shared an adjusted timeline for developing a regional clean transportation program.

TCI Workshop: Advancing Equity & Creating Opportunities for All Communities

The Transportation and Climate Initiative hosted a workshop and roundtable discussion focused on advancing equity and addressing the transportation priorities of underserved and disproportionately affected communities, as part of a regional policy for low-carbon transportation.

Technical Workshop, April 30 in Boston

The Transportation and Climate Initiative held a public workshop April 30 at the Boston Public Library, focusing on key design elements of a regional cap and invest program for reducing emissions from transportation. The event was livestreamed, and a recording will be uploaded to the TCI website.

This 40 minute presentation lays out the basics behind cap and invest programs, including how they work to reduce pollution and how such an approach might be designed to spur investments in low-carbon transportation. It also discusses steps that states have taken to accelerate the transition to a cleaner, more resilient transportation system.
