This is taxation without representation. And, predictions of manmade climate change are NOT being found in the natural world. Hurricanes are NOT increasing in numbers, Tornadoes are NOT increasing, Wildfires are actually at historic lows (check out Australia during the 70’s, FAR worse fires), and warming we've recently had can be TOTALLY explained as oscillations of the AMO and PDO. We are also WELL within historic warming periods of the Minoan, Roman, and Medieval Warming periods. Current warming is nothing new. Recent research into solar cycles shows that solar cycles actually DO EXACTLY correspond to these natural climate cycles (it's the Sun you fool!). By solar cycles, we are about to enter a Minima period of colder temperatures, starting in the mid 20's, that may last up to 200 years of COLDER temperatures. Anthropomorphic global warming (AGW) is a SCAM meant ONLY to provide an excuse for taxation. This is yet another example of this CORRUPT attempt to CREATE an existential threat, all to fund global (and now local) taxation. I completely oppose this attempt at sliding in a tax based on nothing more than political declarations and failed climate models that have NEVER accurately modeled the natural world.
And tell me how many of the AGW climate change predictions have come true? ZERO!
I will vote to unseat Charlie Baker in the next election; I only hope Massachusetts can produce a candidate worthy of my vote.

I strongly oppose Massachusetts participating in the TCI. Climate change caused by human activity has never been proven. This is a plain and simple tax. The legislature must vote on it; this is another taxation without representation ploy.

The reason why Trump got elected is because citizens don't trust politicians, and after reading the article in the paper about Gov. Baker trying to sneak a gas tax by the legislature, I feel , yup, can't trust politicians. Don't go there Charlie!!!!

As if raising the minimum wage and the famla aren't enough for small business cto absorb (not to mention the annual surcharges added to our sui contribution annually for some new medical or health insurance need) ,now you want to add more taxes for fuel which will impact virtually every non tech company in the Commonwealth. Like the t,our roads and Bridges are in total disrepair despite millions going to mass highway annually. Now using the guise of climate change,new proposals are looking while most small companies are just starting to recover from the recession a decade ago. Please look elsewhere for funding to kill jobs and entrepreneurship in Massachusetts

Use the funds from the last 2 years of billion dollar surplus from the state budget!

Please do not introduce the TCI. It is not fair to continue coming after hardworking taxpayers with additional fees or taxes,

Another form of extortion by Gov. Baker & his hacks on the MA taxpayers.
The taxpayers are already over burdened with increasing Property Taxes, not to mention excise taxes sales taxes, and transfer fees.
Enough..NO, NO, A THOUSAND TIMES NO! Got that Governor!
If you want climate change, start with China.

Sales tax when we buy a car, excise tax every year for the privilege of owning a car, sales tax on every gallon of gas, federal tax on every gallon of gas, mandatory inspection - another tax every year, license plate tax, license to drive tax, enough and I'm sure I've forgotten a few! ENOUGH! yOU ARE GETTING YOUR WISH OF BETTER GAS EFFICIENCY IN CARS AND NOW LOSING REVENUE. We in Western Mass DO NOT HAVE ANY MASS TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS. Plus you are talking about adding the MILEAGE USAGE TAX AS WELL - WHEN WILL IT END????
