I own enough forested land to offset my carbon creation. I suggest you f**k off and tax the people living in large dense cities who contribute to this problem.

My initial thoughts/questions are attached in the file upload. I welcome discussion of them.

Transportation contributes approximately 30% of total greenhouse gases in the Northeast and emits harmful particulate matter which is linked to cardiovascular and lung disease. There are an awful lot of vehicles on the roads and the volume is expected to increase. The environmental and health costs are staggering. Something needs to be done. Costs to everyone should be expected. Leadership is vital. The Transportation and Climate Initiative provides basic framework to provide the pinch on our reliance on fossil fuels and establish investments in clean energy and mitigate the damaging effects of climate change that are on the way.

My name is Carol DiPirro and I live in Merrimack, NH. It is a state that is dragging its feet to promote more efficient less green house gas producing transportation.

I appreciate that both parties are working on this initiative. Clean air and water is important to everyone. I am a mother and now a grandmother and I worry about the future of humans surviving on this planet.

"If it walks like a duck...". I thought the majority of Vermonters had made their feelings known on a Carbon Tax. This is an end-around run designed to bypass the legislative process. I see no benefit to me other than the warm feeling of helping fund New Jersey's public transit. No...just no.

The key to wider adoption of electric vehicles is building out a robust fast-charging infrastructure. Until consumers see DC fast-charging stations as a practical alternative to gas stations, they will be reluctant to consider buying electric cars. TCI should incentive or subsidize installation of tens of thousands of fast-charging stations of minimum 150 kW -- and the signage and advertising necessary to give them visibility to the wider public. New regulations could even REQUIRE gas stations to provide space for charging vendors like EVgo, Electrify America, Tesla, or local power authorities, to install EV fast-charging stations.

Level 2 charging stations are far less useful in general - but would be very useful in urban areas if paired with parking spots where residents could leave their cars overnight or throughout the week. These should be special street parking areas with Level 2 charging stations and suitable enforcement to heavily penalize internal combustion cars from parking in those spots. In my location (Brooklyn, NY), where most people don't have driveways, I'm sure that more people would buy EV's if they would be assured of parking spots paired with Level 2 charging!

I own a Tesla Model 3. I charge it from my home when I can get the parking spot in front of my house, and I frequently use Tesla Superchargers when I travel. But not everyone can organize their lives around parking and charging; we need to make electric vehicle charging as plentiful as gas stations.

We need carbon neutral transportation options starting immediately. Climate catastrophe is imminent and must be mitigated now or global civilizations will unstoppably collapse.
