50% of the Fossil Fuels in ME are used in transportation. We need to address this problem soon.

I do believe the TCI is just a backdoor gas taxk, call it what it is. I am totally against this. We pay enough in taxes that are being misappropriated and I am against writing out a blank check for you to add to those misappropriated funds. This is deceitful by trying to fool or pass it by the residents of this state without many even knowing you are doing it.

You cannot arbitrarily raise the tax on gasoline no matter what you call it, TCI is a tax that will affect every family in Ma.
There is no possible way you can change the weather by throwing tax dollars at it.
I will not vote for any politician who supports this rip off.

TRANSPORTATION CLIMATE INITIATIVE, a very fancy name that allows MA. politicians to substantially raise our taxes on gasoline. Mass citizens already voted that down, and using climate change as an excuse is deplorable. Technology and common sense will solve the climate change problem, NOT RAISING GAS TAXES! People will still drive and it will damage our economy.

stop the madness - citizens are the ones to address this issue, not just our "elected officials"

Please do not go through with this money grab. You are already pushing many people out of this state with high taxes.

Fuel efficiency is a good thing. Disposal of renewable energy parts is of serious concern. Exploitation of children in mining for the use of rare earth minerals to satisfy technological uses such as in renewables like electric batteries is not a good thing. Windpower kills birds and insects by the thousands and tens of thousands. Solar arrays fry birds and insects. Then the costs of these exotic technologies has the most deleterious effect on the poor and most vulnerable of all nations. People who can't afford expensive solar panels on their houses, or that $30-40000 hybrid or electric vehicle. If people were really serious about the environment then we would be talking more about chemical pollution into the oceans, and people littering which still happens nonstop. We would also be talking about hydrogen power and nuclear power which have zero carbon emissions. Although as most scientists and people of relative intelligence will tell you carbon dioxide is necessary for plant and tree life to be sustained. To tax it into oblivion is pure suicide and harmful for all life as we know it on this planet.

More highways, more cars, trucks and pollution. It's not worth the cost. We could and should be way ahead with rail infrastructure. We have thousands of young men and women ready and willing to go to work to make this a reality and a country ready for future change.

Transportation is the number one source of climate pollution in the United States. That means it's time to totally reimagine the way that we transport people and goods.
this transportation plan is bold enough to cut harmful transportation pollution at the scale needed to avert the climate crisis. We need a plan that holds large transportation polluters accountable for the pollution they create and invests in clean transportation solutions including:

More public transit and electric vehicle infrastructure in rural areas
Expansion of commuter rail, electric vehicles, and streets in the suburbs that are safe, walkable, and bikeable
Sustainable and equitable housing near transit and electric bus fleets in urban communities
