TCI Regional Policy Design Stakeholder Submissions

Since it's impossible for our state to always keep our water safe for drinking, our roads, bridges, potholes, exploding gas lines, breaking water pipes, sewer pipes, and MBTA up to par, how in the world can our government fix CLIMATE? I seem to recall our planet has gone through ice ages and meltings throughout our planet's existence. Get our basic infrastructure and water up to par, then we can consider fixing climate. Besides as science reveals, "our environment is cleaner today than it was since the 1950s." TCI is just another name for increasing gas taxes for working Americans.

STOP THE MADNESS. THIS IS ABSOLUTE BS. IT IS JUST FEEL GOOD NONSENSE FOR THE CLIMATE ACTIVIST STOOGES. NO NEW TAXES UNTIL THE BLOATED STATE & LOCAL BUREAUCRACIES ARE ADDRESED. FORGET CLIMATE CHANGE. THE IMMEDIATE THREAT IS GOVERNMENT OVERREACH. BAKER IS AN EMBARRASMENT AND A POLITICALLY CORRECT FOOL.

First of all, climate change is a hypothesis. The fact is that the earth has been rotating on its axis and revolving around the sun for millions and millions of years. It is a living entity, so it is subject to change. If we believe scientist of all ages, they have witnessed change and recorded their observations for thousands, not multi-millions, of years. The world as we know hypothetically should not go through catastrophic change over the next millennium. Unless, of course, stupid politicians decide that nuclear bombing becomes a necessary purging! Politicians are liars and panderers. This country belongs to “We the people”. Now is the time for “intervention“!
Our state official and government employees act as if they are in charge. Get rid of all “non-essential” personnel and reduce the budget.

Please consider not persuing the tci tax initiative. I equate it to the state providing shooting galleries for drug addicts. The ma state beaurocrats need to put as much effort into spending less money on themselves than trying to raise more with additional taxes. Look no further than CT and ny to see the consequences.

I think it is totally irresponsible to implement a regional cap & trade agreement. Taxpayers do not need to be burdened with the fantasy of "fixing" the environment. Climate fluctuation is a normal activity that has been happening since the earth was created. Limiting CO2 emissions so people can feel good about themselves should not burden the taxpayers or drag down the economy. Can government actually work on important items? I agree with Governor Sanunu, just say NO!

I am writing as a concerned Vermonter, an avid skier that worries I wont share this love of mine with my grandchildren, and a hobby that is inherent with the ethos of Vermont; but above all I write as a person that cares about the welfare of my fellow global citizens. How many scientific reports, grim news articles and shocking images will it take to jar people to change their daily habits and consumption patterns. I feel optimistic that people are becoming acutely aware of how dire the situation is, but feel that we need policy to drive change at the highest level.

I call on the Gov. Phil Scott of Vermont to agree to all terms of the TCI.

We're in a climate crisis. Please do whatever you can to address the crisis. Armageddon awaits! Vermont needs to do more to reduce emissions. Thanks for working together to make sure our grandchildren have a future.

I would like to suggest if you will really wish to make a difference in transportation North-South-East & West of Boston, please consider the development of a monorail system. After 20 years of traveling the expressway to and from my job, I use to sit in my car and try to decide what would it take for me to leave this driving nightmare and yet arrive at work timely and efficiently. I had to ask myself what would incentivize me and others to change our daily driving habit of getting to Boston? The only answer I could arrive at was a full-service monorail system that would be elevated right down the center of the expressway with strategically placed stops and parking nearby. The monorail would have wires included in the railing that would prevent the buildup of ice and snow allowing an enhanced speed without the danger and delay to the drivers that they are constantly subjected too. Putting such a system down the middle of this highway would serve as a constant reminder to drivers and motivation that there exists a better way to get to and/or from town most expeditiously. This project could put in place in phases and probably attract both private and federal funding. This would solve our current dilemma of convincing our drivers to leave their cars in more strategic locations and/or at home.

I would love to work on such a project as it is my opinion a WIN-WIN for all of us both for personal and businesses alike.

We have to get off fossil fuels and in this initiative we are doing it in affiliation with surrounding states.it is a win/win for us and the climate.
