Massachusetts taxpayers spend more per mile than any other state on roads and it’s a disgrace the shape they are in. This TCI tax will be misused and abused and I am sick of it. This is nothing more than a revenue enhancement scheme. Energy is everything to a robust economy and there are approximately 10 million people employed in the U.S. working oil and natural gas production/transportation. Fuels taxes and UST storage tank fund taxes by state, combined with the federal excise tax on gasoline and distillates are already high enough. The national average combined fuels tax for gasoline is $0.547 cents per gallon. That is enough.	-

Should this tax be enacted, all prices will skyrocket and YOU will see an exodus from this state, myself included. The taxpayers overwhelmingly rejected the Legislatures brazen and cowardly attempt to index gas tax increases to inflation in 2014. Trying to hide the same initiative in the TCI based on unsettled science is the epitome of taxation without representation, one of the founding tenets of this country. This is a completely irresponsible piece of legislation.	-
