We cannot control the climate any more than we can control light and darkness daily. Until China and India change their polluting habits, leave us alone. Taxing my gas more which I use TO GET TO WORK is a joke, and a bad one at that. Here's an idea, go get real jobs and leave us WORKING tax paying citizens alone.	-

This is a gas tax, pure and simple, that they’ll be able to impose on drivers — particularly commuters— without never recording a vote. I suspect this is considered a “feature” by legislators from other states considering joining the TCI.	-

Small vehicle operators will be crucial to improving rural transportation. 2) Electric light rail but especially heavy passenger rail needs to be a bigger part of the discussion. If the argument is that the ROI doesn't justify the expense, then the arguer is not thinking broad enough or long term enough. Much of economically struggling NY state, not to mention NE/Central East PA is within 2-3 hours of the NE Corridor, a super-region with the GDP roughly of Germany. Making connections to Philadelphia and NY via rail would have an enormous impact. A study was done a decade ago on connecting Binghamton to Scranton and to NYC with rail, and that has gone nowhere. 3) NYS needs to offer sustained funding for innovative mobility concepts already doing this work.	-

Your aim is clear. You want to make fuel so expensive that taxpayers will be forced to walk and bike to work. Consumers will soon be paying more at the pump to support increased government spending. For normal people, this is a tax. State Rep. William Straus, the House chairman of the Transportation Committee, recently described TCI as a gas tax, saying “All states raise their gas tax the same amount at the same time and agree not to call it a gas tax, but I think the public is smarter than that.” According to the Massachusetts state constitution, all state taxes must originate from the House. Gov. Charlie Baker does not have authority to unilaterally raise taxes. There must be an open and transparent legislative process. on the details of the agreement.	-

And that was a job in itself, now its my turn to slow down and just work one job and the governor wants to tax me more its absurd half of young adult in this state don't work or can't work so its up to my generation to put into to city, state and federal tax and now you want more taxes very unfair. Never in my life have I worked in a job that pays me more than 42,000 a year how do you propose I live with this income and ontop of more taxes. Find another way.	-
