The climate is fine and unaffected by humanity. Therefore, there is no excuse to have socialist groups like TCI to try to rape the rights of We the People from Us. Our fossil fuel rights will not be impinged in any way. Fossil fuels has helped humanity to thrive in an otherwise dangerous environment here on Earth. Any attempt to take this inherent right from Us will be construed as an act of war against humanity.
If you folks want to go without the vast benefits of fossil fuels, then get rid of your clothing and cell phones and go live in a cave if you want. Keep away from my human right to thrive. You have no authority to kill Us off. |

There is no tax more regressive then one on energy and transportation. Burdening the working poor and the middle class without proof it will work or a truly accurate climate model that proves the goals will work is unconscionable. If the political pressure is so strong that you must "do something " then adopt this proposal but use monopoly money until you have a base line. In a few years scientists should have a working climate model that will prove the whole scheme worthless. Or science could prove me wrong. You might be reluctant to shelve this initiative on my theories but probably not as reluctant as I am to support this on your theories. |

Electric vehicle infrastructure will save consumers money, reduce local air pollution, and reduce climate-warming emissions. The TCI should improve all of the above. For climate change I would prioritize electrification of our region's commuter rail, connecting the bike paths to the urban core, and changing car fees so more polluting cars pay higher fees. |

I have asthma and have family members who have COPD. Clean air should be a right not a privilege. I would like to see Rhode Island invest in more electric vehicles and charging stations. This is a very important initiative especially given the impacts Climate Change is already having on our state. |

We need strategies to reduce the carbon footprint of transportation which is basic for food supply and labor transport. Our ports needs to be electrified so that ships are not operating their dirty bunker oil generators while in port, and landside services support the port operations. I support a comprehensive plan for addressing these concerns through appropriate financial pressure points. |

Less fossil fuels coming into Rhode Island will mean cleaner air and better land use around the Port of Providence. I want better public transportation options for me and my family, a connected, more vibrant community, and the opportunity for economic growth and new jobs. Rural communities need more public transportation options and the current transportation status quo is hurting overburdened communities especially hard. |

Many patients at the Pawtucket, RI, medical clinic where I work miss important appointments because of transportation limitations. Pedestrian and bicycle options are poor in Pawtucket--people feel unsafe walking in areas with no pedestrian crosswalks, lights, or lights that do not work. If more of our patients could walk or bike to work, school, their clinic, or the grocery store, we would undoubtedly see improvements in markers of chronic noncommunicable disease (e.g. obesity, hypertension, high cholesterol, etc.). Additionally, if public transportation options were improved, many of our patients' daily stress levels would be reduced: their work commute times could be lowered and they could accomplish essential tasks more easily and cheaply. If public transportation options were increased while simultaneously lowering average vehicle emissions, one would also anticipate significantly lower rates of asthma, a condition which has direct relationship to exhaust particulate matter (in fact, the likelihood of an asthma-related pediatric emergency department visit tracks closely to house proximity to major highways in RI). More, better, and greener transportation options would create a healthier Rhode Island. |

We are running out of time to take definitive actions which will help stabilize these changes. Moving boldly is the only path to follow, and we have to act now. We must improve our public transportation system and change over to green alternatives such as electric charged vehicles. We have the technology to make these changes happen...if we don’t transform our current system, we will be heading down a dire spiral which may reach the point of no longer being reversible. |

I support the TCI process and December Report. Please excuse if this is a duplicate of comments submitted last night. I was informed that there were problems with the previously transmitted form. |
