However, I do feel that it is important to make known to the public the plans being incorporated in the various districts. This can be through church organizations, climate change groups, and those involved in civic review. I just received this request for input this afternoon from Virginia Interfaith Power and Light the last day of comment period, but the last day was to be April 1st. It appears to me that there needs to be better outreach to grassroots organizations. The LWV of Richmond Metro has a Transportation Committee that want to know about these efforts and could spread the word in the community. It seems to me that more needs to be planned in the outreach area if you truly want to have the underserved and overly burdened to be able to have a say in what is happening.	-

Public transportation needs to be ubiquitous, affordable, and accessible to all Vermonters, especially seniors and low-income folks. Public transportation can be electric; not everyone can afford to purchase an electric vehicle, so this will help the environment. It provides a way for people to get to jobs not located in their immediate environs, and connects communities, encouraging shopping, visiting family and friends, and attendance at events that currently require a vehicle to reach. Public transportation also needs to be advertised and encouraged, so Vermonters know it is available and affordable.	-

Any increase in gas prices would be small in comparison to the normal fluctuations, and the combined revenue and cost savings in other areas (including health care) would more than offset those costs. I strongly favor the plan.	-

The Global warming Solutions Act in Vermont is yet another hamstring move to force our hands into these over the top climate alarmist moves. There are more human centric issues that require our attention. Perhaps spending money on electrical infrastructure first would be a positive move, before you cut off your nose to spite your face.	-

What I have read is that it raises prices on consumer goods such as gasoline, requires endless paperwork by gas station franchises, and accomplishes no real environmental benefits. In the end all it does is to create a pot of tax money that is funneled into pork barrel projects that are unrelated to improving the environment. I recommend that Virginia not be part of another ultra-left boondoggle.	-

The electrification of transportation in the TCI region and the pricing of pollution will go a long way to cleaning the air and combating climate change.	-

We need to minimize Vehicle Miles Traveled, improve gas mileage and increase the percentage of EV's in the fleet in order to reduce emissions generated by individual vehicles, and create walkable communities with bike/pedestrian and transit alternatives that facilitate mobility without using a car. The Transportation & Climate Initiative is a step forward in that direction.	-
