Making taxes higher on working private sector citizens to fight climate change is a waste of our hard earned money as anything we do in Massachusetts to lower CO2 emissions will not create any global impact due to the CO2 emissions of India and China. TCI is just any other money grab to support the bloated public sectors salaries and defined pensions private sector tax payers do not get with no impact on quality of life. Worse, the legislature will not even vote on it, it is unconstitutional for the governor to simply increase taxes.	-

Taxpayers like myself have to commute to work. I do not apologize for not being able to utilize public transportation. For me there is no direct route from Worcester Massachusetts to Norton Massachusetts. Therefore I must commute, pay for gas, and sit in traffic. For once in my life I would like the government to actually hold themselves accountable and create a budget. Once his budget is accomplished, then we can fund any and all initiatives that protect the environment or reduce carbon emissions.	-

Our elected officials are only out for themselves led by the biggest pig in the poke Deleo. What a self serving crook, and the rest of the "vote myself a pay raise" electorate are no better. This sneaky tax disguised as some half baked plan to save the environment is just another money grab at the expense of the Massachusetts tax payers who seem ripe for the picking since these same crooked legislators keep getting voted in. The effects of automotive emissions on the climate, and any environmental benefits from this gas tax, are greatly overblown. The gas tax is already too high in Massachusetts. No to TCI!	-

However, there is much debate to be had as to how we pay for said projects. I believe that to impose the TCI fees without a vote from the legislature of the Commonwealth does a disservice to the tax payers that I and my colleagues represent. I ask that the TCI is required to be voted on by the state legislature as a stand alone vote prior to its enactment as a regional agreement. People from all corners of Massachusetts will benefit from a process with greater transparency and accountability.	-
