To do this with an executive order shows how little regard the Baker-Polito regime has for the people of Massachusetts. People. Wake up. This is all done to fund the underfunded pensions. This will do nothing to reduce carbon emissions. Carbon emissions are already down 22% across the US. Go TCI the Chinese and the other real polluters. Charlie if you sign this into law you have lost my vote. Funny how all the pro TCI contributors are at the top, like they just posted today....Really?	-

TCI is attempting to bypass the democratic process by pushing through a tax increase without forcing the legislature to take a vote. Eliminating legislative procedure is a very slippery slope for Massachusetts. Whether you support this California style gas tax hike or not, and I do not, it’s wrong for Governor Baker to pursue a tax increase without a legislative vote. Lawmakers are being completely excluded from the process, despite this being the exact task they were elected to carry out.	-

I have voted for, and against, increases in taxes in my tenure and it is important to me that we legislators make a transparent vote and then answer to our constituents for any measure that would increase their tax burden. Please let the system work, whatever the end result of that vote may be. Thank you for your consideration.	-

By exempting jet fuel the initiative ignores a vastly more unnecessary and polluting element, commercial flights - many working people need to use their cars to get to work, a handful may need to fly to do so. As it happens I do ride a bicycle to work and deplore the proliferation of 300+ horsepower cars and trucks, but I do not see the TCI as having the mission or structure to actually make a difference. That, the tangible steps, if any, envisioned by the TCI should be front and center in any presentation of advocacy.	-

The fact is that the earth has been rotating on its axis and revolving around the sun for millions and millions of years. It is a living entity, so it is subject to change. If we believe scientist of all ages, they have witnessed change and recorded their observations for thousands, not multi-millions, of years. The world as we know hypothetically should not go through catastrophic change over the next millennium. Unless, of course, stupid politicians decide that nuclear bombing becomes a necessary purging! Politicians are liars and panderers. This country belongs to “We the people”. Now is the time for “intervention“! Our state official and government employees act as if they are in charge. Get rid of all “non-essential” personnel and reduce the budget.	-
