Twelve thousand years ago North Africa including Egypt was lush with vegetation and rainfall. The populations at that time were tiny compared to modern day. The people of the time did not cause the climate to change any more than people do now. The totality of human efforts have minuscule effect compared to the forces of the solar system.
Government officials never saw a tax or a regulation they did not want to grab. You waste the sweat of the people on folly. This is but another example of your folly and righteous lust. I object and call you out for what you are, intellectual idiots. |

Making taxes higher on working private sector citizens to fight climate change is a waste of our hard earned money as anything we do in Massachusetts to lower CO2 emissions will not create any global impact due to the CO2 emissions of India and China.
TCI is just any other money grab to support the bloated public sectors salaries and defined pensions private sector tax payers do not get with no impact on quality of life. Worse, the legislature will not even vote on it, it is unconstitutional for the governor to simply increase taxes.

Hurting people to affect their behavior is not the role for government. Unless you're the former mayor of New York, and running for president.
Michael Bloomberg: “Some people say, well, taxes are regressive. But in this case, yes they are. That's the good thing about them because the problem is in people that don't have a lot of money. And so, higher taxes should have a bigger impact on their behavior and how they deal with themselves." (see https://www.atr.org/left-wing-billionaire-michael-bloomberg-raising-taxes-poor-people-good-thing?amp)
This is immoral and un-American. As is taxation without representation (i.e. the method this is being imposed upon the people, as opposed to a tax voted upon by duly elected representatives). |

Anthropogenic climate change is NOT a proven fact, it relies on pseudo science, mass hysteria, and most of all (TAX) MONEY. I live in rural Vermont, a state with the lowest carbon footprint of any in our nation. Our economy is precarious at best. We travel to work on rudimentary roads, for limited pay from businesses teetering on financial collapse. Our State government continues to overtax it's citizens to support those that can't or won't support themselves. This CARBON TAX is just more of the same. It will ruin our local economy, bankrupt businesses, and hasten the exodus of those who cannot afford to live here. Your blind ambitions will yield a poisoned fruit. |
